Any one have any new piston sets laying around? Higher than stock compression, bigger than stock bore. I have heads to fit whatever dome you have. Thanks very much---Terry

Pelican Parts has Mahle 1mm oversize 10:1 Tii pistons for a 121 head in stock. I've seen them elsewhere, showing the same quantity in stock, so they may be stocked at a distributor and available elsewhere.

Pelican has the following listed:  "Piston, (90.015 mm, 1.00 mm Over Size)"

I believe the correct +1.00mm pistons are actually 89.97mm.

For my non tii with E12 head, I used mahle 11 25 1 251 888 (mahle part no 082 02 03).  These were domed pistons 1 oversize @9.5 compression.  I don't think they are still available.

I guess that makes sense. Any guesses why this size exists? Seems like a small increment.

I'm looking at Haynes manual and stock original piston diameter sizes are 88.96, 88.97 and 88.98 depending on grade(??). first oversize listed as +.25mm and second oversize as +.50mm. Just for referenceI have a set of mahle piano tops which are stamped 89.22 which would be second oversize using original piston size of of 88.97. 88.97+.25=89.22.

Hi williamggruff---I'll buy them if you're selling. Thanks, Terry

By the way, I'm leaving for 2 weeks in Mexico on Sunday, so if we don't get this settled before then, there will be a couple weeks delay

Terry,

Please accept my sincere apologies for teasing you with my offer.  Another FAQer saw my post and purchased them yesterday shortly after noon.  I knew I was offering them at a decent price, but didn't realize they would go as quickly as they did.
