Though I have driven past this sign a few dozen times over the years, this year I will stop for a picture:

Drive the shit out of it, as I have been since I got the engine back together.

It is pretty much my daily driver when I do drive (I live in Santa Barbara, therefore I walk most places), as the 944 Turbo pretty much has a full race suspension setup now . . . .

I will be doing regular Targa California and Targa Baja, and I hope to make Brisbane and Monterey as well. And I'm sure there will be a number of other trips to SF, LA, SD, and places between.

OK, I will put a 5 speed in it if I find one and I have time, but we shall see!

Two major projects that I've been dreaming about doing with the '73 tii (2.5L S14).

Complete custom interior themed on the Singer Porsche 911 with woven leather. Have to decide what color will look best with the Baltic Blau exterior (Oxblood? Dark blue? Chestnut? Tan? Light grey?). Also need to decide if I'm going to keep my Recaro SRD seats. They are perfect for my frame but I think they look horrible in the car (they're so big, they just visually overwhelm the interior space. I'd love something smaller and more "period").

Custom racing fuel cell built by Roger Hamlin of Hamlin Fabrication at Sonoma Raceway. He built my cage and does beautiful work. No need to do this for a street car but I just think it would be cool!

1. Consolidate and diversify the car stable (hello 911 and Kombi!)

2. Build spare s14 motor because it's good to have spares

3. Do a lot of stuff to the Florida 1600 and make it the greatest car ever

3.5. Start Race car project???? (I have no idea what I'm doing)

4. Cry as I have no more money in my accounts

5. Race Magnus Walker for Pinks.

GET TESORO DONE AND BRING HIM HOME!  ;)

This is the year!!!  I have my fingers crossed.  Don't forget to find something nice to use to stop the hood "arms" from messing up your freshly painted rocker panels, as you saw on mine and Art's cars.  Mine are temporary and are just there to protect, but I'm pretty sure you will find something that will work nicely and look professionally done.  I've seen some but don't remember what quality they were.

Oh and I also forgot, possibly dyno my car and more importantly I would like to weigh it.  I'm pretty sure I'm under a ton!!!   :D

Thanks for the reminder Mo! I have the pic that I took of your hood arms against the inside from the SJ gathering and will probably do something about that IF it hits the paint on Tesoro. (looks like Paul Winterton just posted a solution about it on the forum)

Looking forward to going to all the Bay Area events coming up in 2016 with Tesoro!

Happy Holidays and 2016 to everyone! Cheers!
