Lug nuts for steel wheels?

I'm working on fitting an interesting set of Campagnolo steelies and it's unclear whether the seat on the lug hole is shouldered or tapered. It looks like it might have been shouldered at one time, but comprimised with tapered seat nuts. Grrr. What is the usual nut seat for steelies - BMW or otherwise?

Just to check: thread is M12x1.5, no?

I'm new to the BMW environment, but FWIW: Steelies and all Alloy wheels on Fiats (and all Italians that I know of) use a 60 deg. tapered hole with bolts. Only aftermarket rims used a shouldered bolt.
