help me save a street car from the track

The racing bug has bitten... and before I despoil another non- race car,

(and invoke the wrath of Al and kill kittens)

does anyone have a car with an ITB cage welded into it? The closer to Seattle, the better, but I'd travel for a roundie at this point!

As long as it's a solid, non- bent shell, everything else is negotiable.

I firmly believe that a contingent of engineers within BMW 'back in the day' advocated fitting the 02 as a racer from the factory, but their plans were spoiled by the marketing guys. I'd love to put a cage in mine, I'm going to start with a bar. There's no way I'll be really racing anytime soon, but I'd like a bit more safety for track school.

There were a couple of decent shells down this way (northern CA) that could have made a good racer, but I haven't seen them posted lately.

make sure youve got room for your head to flail around or always wear a helmet in a caged car. in the wars of skull vs. DOM, DOM will always win. ;(
