no expert needed.
1) Tried the bat trick, but all it did was squish the tire. 2) Tried prying the fender with the hub as a fulcrum, and put ugly creases on the fender even though I used blocks of wood to spread the load. 3) Took $88 to:

They used the fancy Haweka fender lip rolling machine. Got plenty of additional clearance on both front fenders. Got no cracked paint. Got no uneven bodywork. Read car mags for 45 minutes while I waited.
