Our buddies at Wal-Mart (I don't like them either, but they are nearby, cheap, and 24/7)have a 3 LED light the size of one c-cell battery. It has a headband AND a clip arrangment, so you can clip to something while checking engine? problems. RED LED version in the hunter cammo section, WHITE LED version in the flashlight section. NO regular bulbs-LEDS only.. About $7.50 with really good output. They have others w/mixed bulbs, but this is the nicer and cheaper one. LED lights have long battery life and no bulb burn out. I've seen similar on military-survival web sites for lots more. 3 AAA batteries (not alkaline or lithium, unfortunately). A handy small car emergency light. jengland BMWCCA #892 Indy
