and someone tell me I can do this by reaching in to get

at the linkage on the box without having to pull the

damn thing out.

the cold air mixer door (right side cables) by carefully cutting a hole in the heater box while in place under the dash. I could get a screwdriver on the cable end, but couldn't pop it off its pin--no enough leverage. Had to take the box out. If your car doesn't have A/C, it actually isn't that hard to do...just time consuming. Just make real sure you take pictures, notes etc of how everything comes apart, or I'll guarantee you'll put something back together wrong or out of sequence, and you'll do the job twice! And it only works one way!
