the car had a blown head gasket so I changed it. but then the distributor wouldn't engage as a result of new parts. After draining the water and oil mixture, i had gunk engine cleaner and oil and run the car for about 5 min. flushed that out and the second time around, there is still muddy cream. Do I have to take out the oil pan and clean this thing or is there another alternative ?

TIA

Did you have the head milled to make sure it is flat?

Drop the pan, clean things out and try again.

Either there still was water in the motor when you started it, or the block is cracked.

When you have installed the head bolts, have you perfectly cleaned the bolt holes? If not, hydraulic pressure can easily crack the block.
