i heard that it is possible to install a 320i engine into a 2002. is this fact or fiction and where may i get more info on this or other engine coversion possiblities?

well, being that it's the exact same motor, I suppose it's not fiction : )

an 02...need to swap pans I think and possible the oil pump pick up?

and the carb and intake manifold if you're not interested in

making the 320's fuel injection work, and that's about it. I put a

'79 320i engine into a '76 2002; it's esenteially a straight swap

other than these changes.
