Question about throtle response, high g's and 38/38 carburat

Usually throtle response with a downdraft 38/38 is

great, but making a tight right turn (turn 11 at Sears

Point) there was a lag. I am guessing one of the

jets is sucking air as the fuel goes to one side. Is

this a correct assesment? Are side drafts less

prone to this? Or could be that the torque was

transmitted differently as the car was slipping on

the turn? What is going on? TIA
