using usb. It is used to collect and correlate data from sensors and can also act as an output interface to run gauges or to other equipment. For cars it seems that it could easily be used to log A/F rpm and just about anything else that uses an electricity powered sensor. Of course it would take some doing to figure it out but reading the archives ot their forum it seem that some automotive guys are having at it. Of course the downside it haveing use your pc in the car but I read on the LM-1 forum

some of those guys are picking up toshiba librettos and the like for like $250 or something. Dedicated car tuning laptop sub-notebooks. Pretty cool!

and actually controlling the amount of fuel your injectors squirt. Most all EFI brains have various levels of logging to allow you do properly come up with the best fuel map.

What you're looking at is not suitable for control.

Not engine management. However I have been reading up on megasquirt again. But for now I am only interested in getting my stock tii dialed.
