Guest Anonymous October 31, 2003 It's just driving me crazy trying to figure it out. Is it brake noise or what?

Guest Anonymous October 31, 2003 Straight cut gears are used for strengh and chains don't break as easy as a rubber belt.
Guest Anonymous October 31, 2003 URL: http://www.2002tii-restoration.org/ I always hear that chirping noise when they're off the throttle and approaching a corner. That sound kinda reminds me of the old turbocharged IMSA GTP cars like the Porsche 962--man those were the days, sniff, sniff :-(
Guest Anonymous October 31, 2003 Anti-lag is bypass valve on compression side and "recirculates" the pressurized air (internal), which keeps the compressor spinning fast when the throttle is closed. Wastegate bleeds off excess pressure on the exhaust side. The "chirp" is the best part of a turbo system! Ala '80's Audi Quattro Trans Am cars. 8-)
Guest Anonymous October 31, 2003 I always thought anti-lag reffered to over-run boost-enhancement via very late ignition timing.
Guest Anonymous October 31, 2003 via retarded timing, enriched mixture and an open throttle plate. It is not boost recirculation. The turbo and manifold both get very hot, and have been know to explode.
