Write-up on E12 calipers big-brake conversion?

I read somewhere one can fit E12 calipers and some huge disks to an 02 to make racing-force brakes. I already have 15" wheels, so size is no problem. Anyone done this and made a nice write-up?

Thanks,

Hugo

I have build my own brake system with billet aluminum calipers which accept a 11.75 x 1.25" rotor. I had my own hats machined. They fit my Kosei K1 and ACT LS 15" wheels.

BTW The E12 calipers are very heavy. The billet aluminum calipers are lighter than the pads they carry...

rotors. The E12 M535i used 25 mm wide rotors. Alpina sells a kit ($200) to fit the E12 caliper to a 28 mm wide rotor ala the B7 turbo. So any stock E12 caliper width can be increased to 28 mm.

Now finding a wider rotor for a 2002 to 28mm might take some doing....
