Mixing rear bumper parts?

I have an 1973 2002 with the long sides on the rear bumper. I'd like to fit turbo-arches, but the long bumper is in the way. Can I exchange the long bumper-ends with short ones, or do I need a matching middle part as well?

Thanks,

Hugo

..outside of each over rider (that is for the horizontal rubber trim to pass through) were closed, then you could attach the short bumper ends to the center section that you have. You will need to make/find a spacer to properly bolt the short ends onto the '73 center section, but that shouldn't be hard to come up with. Obviously, you'll need to re-chrome the over riders after adding the patches. Another option is to change to the earlier style of bumper, which is what I'm doing to my '73. If you need turbo style flares, I have both rear flares, and the left front flare. - Larry
