I just want my car to run already. No spark from coil

I'm having the time of my life getting this 71 02 started. I have power to the coil from the key, and about 4-4.5 ohms resistance on the coil, but no spark. I had a pertronix in there but figured it had burned out. I put in new points and condenser and it still gives me nothing. Any suggestions. What do I need? I read all the past faqs and can't diagnose it. Anyone live in or around oakland?

if you have 12v up to the coil and no fire between it and the distributor, it's the coil (or the coil wire)

if there is fire to the dist, then go next step in the line: cap, then rotor, points (or pertronix), condensor, plug wires, then plugs.
