O.K., so it doesn't seem shockingly important! Ah well, in relation to the upcoming Auto Art 1:18 2002 turbo expected soon, I was flipping through a German model car magazine within which contained an elaborate Auto Art ad. that had pictures of a prototype as well as other upcoming product. The turbo will have the stamped steel wheels rather than the special turbo alloys, has a more elaborate hood hinge assembly up front compared to the Kyosho product, and may feature tires slightly wider and visually more accurate that the Kyosho model. A black plastic oil fill cap is substituted for the ribbed metal item reproduced on the Kyosho '02's, whereas the aluminum trim along the rockers is highlighted in paint rather than being a seperate chrome piece ala Kyosho. Attempts at a front license plate bracket on the Auto Art version seem crude - let's hope what I witnessed will vanish when the final version comes to market. Other fun things noticed is an upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-111, as well as bizarre kitchen accessories that are so silly as to be fun. Said accessories are manifest in the form of a downdraft Weber carburator salt and pepper shaker combination, as well as what might be mistaken for a spice rack in the form of a Cosworth DFV slide-throttle injector assembly. Very, very wierd! Regards...
