I just saw your response to my post, answering your question about 02 parts vendors in the US. I am utterly confused. My response was not civilised? excuse me? Why, because I asked you if you had even looked? I was the first person to respond, and I linked to the vendor page, of the FAQ links. It contains EVERY parts vendor with a web page. Time to grow a thicker skin, or a sense of humour. I'll be happy to sit back, and offer you ZERO help in the future. Your loss, jerkoff.

Regards,

Al

ps - I would have sent this via email, but Mr.KSP hides it in his posts.

I felt that your post was rude. I DID look previous to posting.

I was asking more for likes/dislikes from people that may have bought ones that work good/bad.

Also, I know that on forums(in general), people like to tear up those who don't do there homework. I though this was a community of people who were not like that.

Thanks for the being the first one to post. I didn't realize that the posts are listed newest post first.

I don't feel like getting into a petty argument about this.

I’m usually getting parts for American Cars, which is quite easy. So I’m very new to the 2002.

So I’m sorry.

Well, perhaps we need to use emoticons on this site, because my post was not meant to be rude at all. Hell, I posted good info.

We are a not a community like that. The 02 community is the greatest automotive community there is. Period. That's why we can make smart ass comments, and people tend not to get offended. What's a community, without a bit of humour.

I’m glad that you say that. From now I wont take the

smart ass comments seriously. It’s tough to

determine who’s joking and whose trying be an

elite member by putting people down who are as

well versed in the world of 2002’s.

I guess enough griping and back to work.

Take it easy, al

various US 2002 parts distributors vary quite a bit ,it seems. Some people have had nitemare experiences with certain vendors, others have had seamless transactions with the same firms. It would be a large and rather confusing search to wade through all the vendors and all the opinions about them. Some vendors are better for certain items than others. Some are very quick with shipping, but high with prices; some have great prices, but do not have the staff to get the products out in the mail quickly. Let us know what you are looking for and you can probably distill the responses to a short list of vendors you feel comfortable with for business. Good luck.PS: Al is a great resource/helper on the boards. I know he meant no harm/put-down: glad that got straightened -out. Keep posting questions- you will get plenty of answers, lol.

There are way too many on that list :) . I haven't had a chance to go through them all, maybe by the weekend. I'm sure I'll have a few more questions by then. Thanks for your help, j 71Sahara j 72 inka tii A4.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
