How Do You Remove The Glue From Grills?

I removed the slats from my grills, and now want to take the glue off but i cant figure out how. Do any of you guys know how to take the glue off? Thanks

Goof Off or straight Xylene will remove the adhesive, wear chemical resistant goves and proper out door ventilation and respirator, the fumes are dangerous. Let the rags dry flat outside, otherwise they can spontaneously combust if wadded up.

Paint stripper works, dont use scourers or heavy steel wool, I just did mine using a jell paint stripper ....one slat at a time , slow process.
