Derek 1600 and anyone else that went on our drive this past June...

Hi all, hope you all had a great summer so far.....

It's near the end of the summer, and you know what that means......BIMMERGATE!!!

get together. Sunday Sept. 7.....11:00am until 4:00pm, Flat Rock Park,on River Road,Gladwyne PA. Right on the banks of the beautiful Schuykill River....

Heres a chance to get caught-up w/ old friends and maybe meet some new ones... This event is open to all members and their families and friends...... You don't have to be a member of the club/chapter,just some-one who loves BMW's.

Wash the summer grime off your best Bimmer and bring it down to the park and show it off to 150+ bimmerphiles like your-self, eat some BBQ food, talk to friends, tell stories of how fast you were at the driver schools this past season....

There is no need to rsvp...just be there, to enjoy BBQ food, great people and cool cars....

See you all there, and hopefully many new faces....

Note: The park is right off the Gladwyne exit of I-76 ( Westbound only), go to the bottom of the off-ramp, make a right thru the little tunnel, go left, then go apprx. 1/2 mile the the parking-lot/picnic area.

The Gladwyn exit of 76 is ONLY accesible from the westbound lane. If you are travelling on I76 East, go to the Belmont Exit and make a left and a left again to get on I76 West to the Gladwyne exit.

In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
