Top 100 Search Topics Listed To Be Listed And Hot Linked.

Recommended Posts

So, considering the name of this web site, maybe we should offer some actual FAQs.  Lets build an alphabetized list, as stated above.  Add a tab for "FAQs" to the top of the home page.  And then hot link the topics to pull down every thread mentioning the key words.

From the Google home page, I typed in "site:www.bmw2002faq.com heater blower motor fan", another search then with wheel size.  You get the idea...

Example:

1.  Blower Motor

2.  Wheel Size

What do you all think?  Steve?  Think there's any value to this?

nothing ironic, that is exactly what the articles section is.  in fact, on the old site that section was actually called the FAQ. that is why there is also a forum section called "FAQ under construction".  that is where the draft FAQ's were proposed.  people need to take the time to polish up write ups on topics of interest and post them as articles.

of course, newbies would have to actually READ the articles section rather than just going straight to the discussion area and asking questions without looking first.  never understood how people use google to find everything else in their lives, yet when they hit the faq they apparently forget how to search.....

If if makes you feel any better in my experience it's been every single motorcycle/car forum I've been on, so don't think it's limited to just the FAQ. ;)

agree to an extent. R3v is prime example of low S/N ratio.  the forums i have seen where majority of folks actually search and bring up old threads is S14.net, S14power, and the track section of bimmerforums.

I can rename the section to FAQ :)

the idea behind the site was always to actually have articles and not just the forum. A lot of people write very good posts that get things added to them and the threads go for a few pages and then everything gets forgotten.  That is what the article section is for.

We are set up so that any member is allowed to add and modify any article we have.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
