Nope.  Because everyone takes off different parts.  Tar?  Glass?  Headliner?  Early or late?

 

If you search, a few years ago there was a thread where we almost came to a consensus.

 

I have no recollection whatsoever what it was.

Stripped. Tar glass anything that is not welded. I saw a video of a guy that supported the stripped body with two engine stands. He made two pipes on each end that stuck into bumper mounts.  Also, if I use two engine stands that can support 1000 # each does that mean a total of 2000# ? Any ideas?

engine stands sound like a really bad idea. yes, they could support the weight, but they are designed for the weight to be inside the spread of the legs. that spread is way too small to be stable supporting a car body. accident waiting to happen.

The other thing you gotta remember about using engine stands is that you have to get the car high to rotate it onto the side or upside down. The only usable part from the engine stand is the cylinder, and it's cheaper to just make that part instead of cannibalising two stands

Yep, just build one yourself. If you are planning to use a rotisserie you will be doing welding anyways so you might as well build one to fit your needs. Gotta remember it has to be tall enough to rotate all the way around lol
