Yes I felt the same, but the bandits up here in Sydney just drive them when they want,

+ there’s a upside to getting older and looking more respectable, plod doesn’t think you’re dodgy so mostly leave you alone.

im sure I will be made to eat my words in that last sentence?

Still be concerned that if I had an accident and they (easily) showed that I wasn’t following the restrictions that they would refuse to pay out on the technicality that the car isn’t technically registered.

Anyway, back to the beauty shots!

When club rego was introduced in VIC there were two things that caused changes to the scheme and extra attention from the 5-0
- new 'clubs' offering cheap membership and dodgy club scrutineer sign off sprung up

- people not filling in log books started getting fined for driving an 'unregistered' car, so club plates got extra attention

Hope the same doesn't happen for you NSW fellas!

I fill mine in with pencil,

Though the erasers in the glove box is a give away!

I only drive weekends now so the 50 or so days is enough for me.

Beautiful day on Orcas Island. Heading off to buy a few bags of gravel, in the proper vehicle for the task. Happy 02 Tuesday!

Great to meet you too.  Love your Polaris Roundie tii.  Look forward to the next time.

Three of us drove the Sea to Sky highway after the event.  Smooth, fast, twisty, 4 lane road.  A fine Spring (Summer) day.

Getting at the hero shots. If you compare it with the "I just purchased a car from an elderly lady" to the current state of the car, it's pretty rad! it's not as far along as I would like after nearly 8 years. But these cars are spendy and i've had a couple real doozies where the people of Portland are terrible at parallel parking and set me back heavily. hahaha.

Barney, how do you like that style of mounting bracket for the Marchals? Does it hold them firmly without jiggling? I like where it positions the lights but I have the larger driving lights so even more of a concern.

Car looks fantastic!

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
