Additional gauges, assuming you kept water temp & tach, right? A lot depends on your usage, but here's some ideas:

OIL TEMP - taken at the filter head where the oil re-enters the block. Not at the sump.

OIL PRESSURE - stock switch location is OK for sender, that's the very end of the oil travel.

EGT - this is how to check mixture + distribution at WOT. check the pics for my Ford ITB car's installation of twin dual westach 3.125" EGTs. A regular O2S cannot do this nearly as well.

Other 'good to have' instruments include:

WATER PRESSURE IDIOT LIGHT - if you bust a hose & lose a bunch of coolant, the temp gauge won't help. A pressure switch tells you right away.

FUEL PRESSURE - webers like correct pressure. a quality mechanical guage in the appropriate range, must be used with an remote isolator (no fuel into cabin).

SEQUENTIAL SHIFT LIGHTS -

MEMORY TACH -

HOT LAP TIMER - Or an icard running off the track's AMB system

VOLTMETER -

VACUUM -

HOURMETER - tells how much time on the engine

Got it from summit and I mounted it between the fuel filter and the K-pump. You have to be creative on running the fule line from the guage to the pump. Let me know if you need a pic.

all the other cool stuff mentioned by others. I have to disagree on 1 thing though: there is nothing wrong with taking oil temp from sump through the standard oi drain plug sender unit. when the engine is running hard, it is replacing the oil in the sump every 30 seconds or so- this is giving an accurate enough reading to know if you are in the danger zone. Thre is no real issue about pan cooling, etc. I have asked racers about this placement for oil temp sender and they say it is o.k.. My priority is engine preservation: so loss of oil pressure is single quickest killer, and over temp is second worst. That is why i rank those highest. Engine performance ranks right after preservation, then you get into all the monitoring cool stuff like mixture, pressures, etc. I would love to have them all. I am adding analogue water temp gauge nes=xt to the 3 pod shown here already in the inka, and replicating the set-up for the Sahara. here is left to right: oil pressure, volts, oil temp: standard.jpg and here is contemplated extra hole for water temp in degrees( dont like the bar graph on stock instrumentation): standard.jpg

As it already had the oil temp. Factory says to not rev above 4k until oil is up to temp.

I feel like I'm driving naked on the tii as it is stock. I start to rely heavily on those idiot lights.
