Cap/clip That Holds Fan

I suspect the clip/bushing is long since NLA. I just attached my fan to the shaft of the heater motor this weekend. I used a metal bushing with a little allen set screw on the bottom, placed the fan on top of it then took a plastic bushing and put it on top. Then I epoxied the whole thing. It's on very snug with no wiggle room. 


I found the parts in the nuts and bolts section of my small local hardware store. (I also bought a bunch of other options but this seemed to hold the most securely even when compared to metal bushings with set screws on both bottom and top). Probably cost $1 total.


Here are some pictures of my final product. The hardest part was removing the old busted bushing, heat gun certainly helped.
