engine and drivetrain Wanted: Experienced 2002Tii Mechanic Needed--Ny/nj/ct Area

Hello everyone,

 

Some of you have been following this thread:

Although I have a few more things to try (verifying fuel pressure, clamping CSV etc.) I thought it would be a good idea to post this in case this goes over my head. I also just don't have a lot of time to work on the car, and what time I have is sporadic.

 

I would like to find someone in the NY/NJ area (I am in Queens) or possibly PA/CT who really knows the engines and Kugelfischer of a '73 Tii.

 

I am not really interested in paying someone a lot of money to learn how to work on a Tii and learn how to fix it, this has happened before with other cars I have owned.

 

So if anyone can give me a referral of someone who really knows the deal and is affordable, I would appreciate it immensely. I would have to trailer the car to the shop as it is not really drivable right now.

Have you called Little Garage in Long Island? I've never used them but I know they've been working on old BMWs for a long time.

I have never dealt with this company but they are on the pump rebuilder list and maybe they can refer you to a shop that knows the tii?

Thanks guys. I contacted Little Garage to see what they have to say.

 

I have also called Hans and talked with him about the pump/injectors, and yes, I should have thought of that to call him for a referral. Will do.

Send me his info, I have read his posts before. I probably have a way to get it to him...thinking way down the line, and hopefully won't need anything like it, but does he do engine rebuilds and the works? Just don't want to bring it to 2-3 shops...

There is Laurence Charlemagne just a little over an  hour north of Queens. It's a easy and fun ride up the Taconic Parkway.
