I acquired this cam and need to identify numbers. I live near ISKY cams and took it there for I.D., these are the numbers they gave me (pictured). Is this a 292?

Marshall is correct - there is a lot of info on the Schrick website since they offer cams for many applications.

Ok, take this with a grain of salt, because the 292 I have is in a box somewhere, but to my eye, that camshaft looks reground...

I remember the base circle being raised above the casting by 2-3mm.

 

Could you post a pic of the whole Isky sheet?

 

How were they to deal with?

@@pocho,isky is ok to deal with, old school shop, they offered to polish the cam but i want to make sure i can use it

If isky says it's OK, it's ok!  I don't see anything in the numbers that looks bad- and

Jim's pics of a new cam look like I was wrong about the base circle- they DID

cut them lower than I remember.

 

I'd use it if it was mine.
