any color that does not have rust under it.....

:D

color is a personal choice do what you like not what everyone else likes.

that said, i can't stand silver, black or white on any car and particularly on a 70's icon like a 2002.  those are colors for the commoner.  90% of the cars on the road today are those colors.  totally BORING!!!  sliver especially just blends in with the crowd.  no pop.  zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

dare to be different.  stand out, don't just be like the masses.

oh trust me, I've stood out before... I currently have a silver car with lime green wheels on one side and white wheels on the other because I haven't finished painting them white. hah.

I agree with you though. One thing you may learn about me is I can never make up my mind, ever. I thought about indigo blue, but I have red insert/black leather seats to go in it.

edit: that Turkis is quite the color too.

I would say my opinion drifts over time.

I like Agave a lot.  It looks vintage and modern at the same time.  It's classy.

I like Riviera for the same reasons.

Colorado is my favorite "clearly a '70s color" color.  I saw Dave's car once and fell in love with it.

You know, Polaris isn't bad, either.  There's a Polaris car around here that looks very nice.  Classy and not too "antique" looking.  Of course silver is Germany's Grand Prix color, so there's that connection, too.

My car is Verona, which I also like.  It is slowly changing over time to be a brighter red.

Good luck.  If I had to pick a color, it would be rough.

While my cars are Sahara & Nevada (stealthy, don't show dirt, easy to match) I have to vote for either Malaga or Agave as my favorite colors, although there's a soft green (Turf) that was used only on early 1600s and a very few 2002s--similar to Z3 "Evergreen" that is also very nice on '02s.

cheers

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
