Hey so heres a problem that i keep having, and that is my windows keep getting fogged up. I originally thought it was my heater core doing it but i replaced it a few months ago and i still get a really almost oily residue on my windows. I havent driven the car much and even sitting it still does it. Could this be something to do with a gas tank venting problem?? Just bugging the crap out of my every time i drive it i have to clean all my inside windows...

My car does this. You just have to wipe it down with a cloth all the time. I have to do it about every 2 weeks due to haze. I figure it's just part of owning an older car.

I can't help it ok!! haha

Alcohol on the windows, no not the kind you drink the kind you rub, works every time

Good idea! ill try it this weekend and see if that helps

Is the windshield fogged in the corners and it doesn't wipe off or go away? Mine was like that. The glass was delaminating since the windshield was original. Replaced it and its never come back.

Its all the windows that fog up.

I'm with John McWilliams that something on the interior is re-coating the windows.   Have you replaced any interior components like the carpet, seat cushions or another item that could "out gas"?  I recently used Lexol leather cleaner on my wife's car seats and even after wiping them thoroughly, the windows had a coating in a couple of days that made it very difficult to see.  Try using a 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar to clean the windows.   Don't use the same rags/clothes that have been used to wipe wax off the exterior and also don't use any rags that have been washed in your clothes washer with a fabric softener (like Downy).

At first, I was thinking that your (3) engine bay seals were toast and allowing oily mist/fumes to enter the heater box and get into the cabin - but that should only happen while the car is moving.

The original vinyl on both my '69 and '73 are still outgassing and coating the inside of the window glass after 44 and 40 years respectively!  I have to clean 'em about once a month or so--used to be every week!  Of course when all that stuff finally evaporates from the vinyl it'll be all stiff and crack, so I really don't complain...just get out the windex and paper towels.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
