Anyone Selling Their Ti ?

Recommended Posts

Where are you located? What condition cars would you consider?

TonyHavana seemed willing to sell his, but I'm not sure if he was serious. He is in Canada iirc.

I know of one in germany, if you are willing to import. I will look up the add for you.

Regards

Jacques

This is by far the best site to find a 2002ti, although most are either badly rusted, or heavily modified. http://www.mobile.de/modellverzeichnis/bmw/2002ti.html

Here are a few.

1600ti

http://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/bmw-2002-1600ti-tii-badbergen/181942979.html

Badly rusted 2002ti

http://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/bmw-2002-ti-teilrestauriert-hille/181201891.html

Modified body 2002ti

http://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/bmw-2002-ti-schwabmünchen/179898549.html

Modified engine(turbo) 2002ti

http://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/bmw-2002-ti-160-ps-h-kenz-turbo-umbau-überollbügel-aichach/176499973.html

If you find an unmolested example in a good condition, it will be expensive.

Best of luck

Jacques

Thanks Jacques, lemme know if you find anything else:)

There are two for sale on this website volanteclassics.com. hope this helps.

http://volanteclassics.com/1974-bmw-2000-touring-tii/

http://volanteclassics.com/1973-bmw-2002-touring/

Those are nice tourings, but definitely not Ti's. The OP is looking for a ti(a dual carbed, sedan more akin to a tii, but with early trim).

02GP, I was thinking of selling my ti a few months ago, but not at this point.

It is running great right now, and after installing some rebuilt ASS seats, a new set of 13" tires, and fixing an exhaust leak, I wonder why I was thinking of selling it at all. Even have a 3rd brake light now, which makes me feel  a bit safer in city traffic.

Currently driving it almost every day.

Cyclone, a couple of the ti's you linked to, don't appear to be the real McCoy.

Good luck on finding one though.

Is it even legal to fit ASS seats and not post pictures! I have to admit, not having driven my ti yet is not fun. Having a 2002 that runs well does make it easier to bare, but not much.

In all honesty, I posted those up after a 10 minute Google search. I never even opened the pictures, but only later saw some discrepancies in the ads.

But I desperately want a 1600ti as well now...

Argh

According to them it is unrestored, making it even more rare. I'm in love!

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
