Saddle Brown Interior - Photos Please

Recommended Posts

I am looking to replace the carpets of my 73.  I have saddle brown vinyl and what appears to be some shade of tan carpets.  I am unsure what the carpets color was called when new.  I am looking into different options, one of which is saddle carpets.

Pictures of such a combo would be appreciated.

Here is what I have now...

I can't speak to what is original since I've never had my car (also a '73) with original carpet in it. However, here are photos of my car with two different carpets in it. Personally, I really like the lighter carpet which I have in there now, it really lightens up the entire cabin, whereas the older, darker, color was just a bit drab for my taste. Downside to the lighter color is that it shows stains more, I still haven't put a heal pad in there which I need to do soon, just haven't sourced one that I love yet.

I came across this image on the forum.  No idea if it is original, but it looks great... kind of what I want.
