Suggestion For Market Improvement

Recommended Posts

Can I suggest that a location is mandatory in the Market, there is something about knowing the location of parts / cars for sale that helps greatly .Everything else is cool but not knowing where stuff is located has a large bearing on price where shipping is concerned, also of course if stuff is local then pick up is a huge benefit.

Cheers

That is my 02 worth

Agreed.  I am very interested in buying from members first.  I find it helpful to know who, what, where, condition and photo. I work nights so contacting and corresponding can be delayed.  My intent is not to waste someone's time or mine for that matter.

I find myself ready to send money corresponding directly to the info listed above.

I just know I want to know if someones emailed, whose asked questions, etc etc so that I dont have to ask the same question to a seller that someone else already asked, or are 20 people in line in front of me. If there was a way to setup a form to start a thread in the For Sale section that had mandatory stuff, plus description that would be awesome, so basically merge the both of them.

i see things as they are now as a catch 22....reading between the lines in responses made by steve to concerns or likes & dislikes regarding the classified forums, i surmise "some people " complained to him about "some other people" making off wall comments...

IMHO, steve doesn't like and is attempting to control what he sees as off color chatter regarding parts and cars for sale...which, BTW was the attraction to the former for sale forums

and i'll admit i was the biggest offender when people posted their widgets for sale without providing any means to contact them or trying to sell something that i'd consider generic without a detailed description or worse, no pictures or prices

personally people haggle when items are bought and sold and it wasn't broken the way it was before the site upgraded....sadly, it's broken and redundant now....why do we need 2 parts for sale forums with the same stuff listed in both...while i'm on a roll, why do we need facebook & twitter for that matter

having vented....it sucks big time that guys bother advertising stuff, leave no contact info, post no pictures, don't give us a clue where they live or the parts are located nor tell us what the price is...

unless the sellers are thoughtful & considerate when placing an ad, it's a crap shoot

BTW...i have 5, one is square weave wool carpet sets for sale, ready to ship...new, never installed...they fit all year model cars...i also have 2 steering wheels and some clips
