Lsd Differential Id

Recommended Posts

I have a LSD short nose differential in my car and the tag on hit says S391 9111 on it. I have not been able to ID this diff in any books I have. I currently have a 5 speed in the car and she is just low on torque. If anyone has any info on this diff it would help me out a ton.

could be anything at this point in its age. "S" usually means LSD.

jack the car up, manually turn the driveshaft and count the number of turns of the drive shaft for one turn of the wheel. that is your ratio.

Thanks Mlytle
