Need A Driver To Take Your Second Bimmer To Bimmer Fest??

A long shot and a bit crazy, but just thought I'd give it a try. If you're looking to take your second bimmer to bimmer fest this Saturday and got no driver I'm your guy. This was going to be the first time I attend bimmer fest. I was waiting for this for months and I just learned today that My 02 will not be done in time

(not even in a running condition). Well it was supposed to be done a month ago which would've given me plenty of time to put the finishing touches and have it ready for May 18th, but due to the lack of prefessionalism that I've experienced from the body shop and the Shop doing the m42 Swap I'm stuck with out my 02. I know this is a very long shot but should you be interested in what I'm asking/offering and would like to know more about me, please don't hesitate to drop me a PM, or text/call 818 703 2097.

Cheers,

Mohamad.

That's Rough Mohamad , it's a pity it's on Saturday  , I'm hoping to be painting some of the 72 you switched me on to on Saturday (dedicated Saturdays to finish up the car ) Otherwise you could pilot it  but it won't finish itself .

All the best & I hope you get a drive for Bimmerfest.

It sure is Rough Steve, I guess part of the blame could fall on me for not being pushy enough to where I would instill a sense of urgency for the two shops to stick to the deadlines we originally agreed upon. On the other hand I really didn't want to risk pushing them to where I end up with poor quality work. I just hope it'll be home by the end of the month so I can finally start putting the interior together.

How's the 72 coming along? and did you end up finishing the e12 you picked up?

Mo , the 72 is almost redy for the final paint touches, it's going to be a nice little car . I sold the one 530i too much work with little return the better one I'm going to start when the 02 is done (soon I hope) Meanwhile I'm doing some mods to my 1932 Ford Roadster in time for the LA Roadsters Fathers Day Show. Busy Busy Busy.

Again good luck with your project.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
