tires and wheels Hubcaps For Alloy Tii Wheels

Hi,

I apologize if this topic has been discussed previously - my search did not turn up anything.

A search at realoem shows BMW part # 36131108344 for the hubcaps of the alloy 13" tii rims. Unfortunately, they run pretty pricey, about $170 for four. Is there a cheaper substitute, or that's the only cap that will work with these wheels?

Why whine about the hubcaps?  You got the wheels for a steal.

Shouldn't the later ones from an E21 work?  Same hole size right?

They mount from the rear with a flange so they don't drop through the wheel center.

I've looked for something that will both fit and look OK for many years--unsuccessfully.  I suppose a snap-on cap (that fits from the front) in the correct diameter would work; the trick will be finding some kind of reference source that gives hubcap diameters by make/model of car.

 

Good luck; post if you find anything; I wouldn't mind having some spares.

I'm going to see my metal spinner to get a price on doing a small run as a better priced alternative, hopefully we can make them to look like the originals but not cost as much.
