MY FATHER OWNED THIS CAR AND WROTE THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PASSING AWAY... I AM

LOOKING TO SELL THE VEHICLE. It IS garage kept.

Dad was offered 8500 in 2008 for this car, its my understanding that they lost their value as the economy turned. I have been offered 5500, but I really feel 6,200 is more fair. I also have a 1973 non tii magala red 2002 that is NOT garage kept, but runs and has a rebuilt motor, but needs some tlc that I'm asking 1750 for.

I'm the second owner of this vehicle which i purchased in march 2001. I drove

this car home and put it in my garage in Montclair, NJ and proceeded to restore

it. All chrome and bumpers were removed engine transmission drive shaft was

removed as was complete exhaust system. The paint on this car was silver that

looked like a repaint. Paint was wet sanded and aswell as the primer. The car

was reprimed with epoxy primer and repainted with black acrylic laquer. Which

will need to be color sanded and compounded, this is why you will notice in the

photos the top chrome ring is not on the car but i have all the chrome and clips

to put the chrome back on the car. It is easier to to wet sand and compound with

the chrome removed. all the chrome is in perfect condition. their are a few

small dings in the driver side door. The sunroof cables were replaced with the

better brass sliders as you may know the original BMW sliders in the sunroof

were plastic and tended to break.

Now the engine, was completly taken apart, old freez plugs removed and the

engine was flushed. new freez plugs were inserted. this is a list of the new

components that were replaced in motor:timing chain, oil pump chain, main

bearings, rod bearings, piston rings, and connecting rod bushings. Crankshaft

journals were all in perfect condition. Engine starts right up in cold weather

and is running correctly, cold start valve and warm up runner are functioning

correctly. This engine has no leaks and many of the hoses on the injection pump,

as well as the radiator, were replaced. brand new valve Springs were also put in

the head.

Since this overhaul this car has been driven less than 30 miles. I recently took

a compression test and all 4 cylinders were at 155psi.

The transmission has a short shift kit which is tight and works very well. The

driveshaft has a new guibos, or felx disc, as well as a new center support and U

joint. There are no rips is the rear axel boots. The front brake calipers were

overhauled and new inner and outer seals replaced. All brakes work well with 95%

pads and shoes. the front end is very tight, a new center link was instaled, and

the tie rod ends are very tight. This engine has a brand new sterling coated

header from bavarian auto sport as well as a brand new ansa exhaust system only

upgraded hardware was used to install and reinforce the exhaust system. This car

also has bilstein performance shocks all around. the gas tank was removed and

all components cleaned and flushed. the rubber gasket and fuel pickup hose from

gas tank are also new. this car also has factory air which is complete but not

working.the compressor is not siezed and may need very little work to function.

The interior dash is in perfect condition and all gauges are working as well as

the clock. the seats have no rips and have the original horse hair stuffing

which should be replaced.

The clutch slave, and master, cylinders have been overhauled as well as the

brake master cylinder.

This car has the original BMW steel rims and tires and a set of aftermarket rims

and tires. The original exhaust manifold and down pipe also come with the car as

well as the original air cleaner system.
