Cracked Turbo Exhaust Header, Need Replacement Fast

Recommended Posts

Turbo clan,

I need help.  Just realized today that my exhaust leak was not gasket / loose head stud related, but a cracked header.  Clarification, not just cracked, but non repairable... the flange is cracked in two places and severely warped.

So, I need to replace it and I need suggestions or recomendations.  I recently posted a question in the forum related to this a few days ago and after searching and searching online, the only headers I can find (eBay) seem very cheaply made.  Does anyone on this board know of anyone with one for sale, someone who might be willing to sell one or lastly, where I can get a high quality header made?

I am located in California, BayArea / Sacramento.

Is this a factory turbo? if so they are still available from BMW 11 62 1 259 595 I'm sure Blunt can get you one for much less than the $759 listed on Real OEM.  I believe Jaymec has them also.  If you are working with aftermarket I can't help.  BTW the factory manifolds are Cast Stainless not Iron.
