Bmw : 2002 2002 Tii 1973 2002 Tii Facotry Sunroof, 5 Speed, Round Taillight (Roundie) Fuel Injected

As for the high survival rate, some of it has to relate to owners' desires to restore the Tii models more readily than the standard version, in spite of the cost, in anticipation of greater returns down the road - both seat of the pants and financially.

Where was it discussed earlier?

Here's one of the threads on the car:

http://www.bmw2002faq.com/topic/138090-73-tii-on-ebay/?hl=tii%20for%20sale

But there's an earlier thread from when the car was on the market solely as a $22,000 BIN. It appeared to sell for $12,100 on its second (third?) eBay listing. But that sale failed and thus the car has been back to eBay at least twice more. It's not getting better looking. Despite it's many flaws, however, it's a round taillight sunroof tii and, if it is the original color, in a very desirable Colorado orange. We all saw the other thread about tii prices and the eBay "parts car," also a round taillight tii, that sold for $4,600 this week. So there is some price at which even this very sloppy example becomes attractive.

Good luck,

Steve

EDIT: I notice that the current eBay listing no longer displays the incriminating photos of the trunk floor -- with the two floor boards removed -- that showed an amazingly shoddy repair (or was it a "non-repair"?) of a serious rear-end hit. They've done some work, since the previous listings, on the car's exterior rear panel. Note the odd "inset area" that surrounds the trunk lock. Buy this car as a "project," not as a "restored" example!
