Julia -- My Girlfriend's 73....

Recommended Posts

While working on my other projects (84 Suburban, 94 VW Golf, 76 2002), I thought it would be wise to encourage my girlfriend to get a car of her own.  Since the budget was super low, I knew I'd have work to do.  I was kidding myself, though.  I have a LOT of work to do to get this car driving.

When we got it home, I worked with it for about 30 minutes and had it running.  It would move but the clutch pedal wouldn't return from the floor and the car has zero brakes.

First task, put a different pedal box and clutch master cylinder in.  Lora asked me to paint her pedals pink so I did.  I'm kind of impressed with how they look.....

The day we picked up the car....

On the trip home.

At home in the garage.

Pink pedals.....

Rebuilt pedal box ready to go into the car.....

Partially installed.  They suffered a little damage during install.  Will have to touch them up a bit.
