At the Sacramento Coffee Meet this AM I realized while check out Rob's car that the hood spring should work (mine doesn't).  Back home, I've taken it apart and want to know how to reassemble so that I can retension it correctly.

Thx,

Byas

Solved.

Cleaned the pivot blocks.  Reinstalled them on opposite sides so that the unworn sections acted against the spring.

Install back on the hood so that the arm points down.  Bolt it in and tighten.  Then pivot the arm towards the back of the car unfold the lower section and bolt onto the fender anchor points.
