Where's your favorite place to drive in the Northwest? Have any photos?

Description of the place, a photo, and where you live and/or reside in the NW, will all be good!

(Simply a topic to share the best locations/places for beautiful scenery & awesome places to drive your '02, and also to share a little about yourself with others! ;) )

P.S. I'll start off the theme or subject, with some nice shots of some beautiful spots around the NW... now it's your turn!  B)

East Mercer Way is fun for a short drive, same with the road out to Fall City from Issaquah. I do like the St. Helens roads, minus how damn rough they are... Down here in Oregon you can't beat a Mary's Peak/Alsea falls loop.

I'm in Hood River and I think we have the best roads!  I do a lot of road biking and sport bike riding here, we have a '94 Miata with suspension mods, and I'll have my M20 '02 any day now.  I ride or drive the Rowena curves all the time.  Other favorite routes are around Lost Lake and Cooper Spur on Mt. Hood, The Klickitat canyon out of Lyle, WA, and the Condon/Fossil/Antelope/Shaniko/Maupin route, either as a loop or out and back.  I'd like to do some more fast tours around St. Helens, Adams, and Rainier this year, preferably when there's no other traffic.  I do a lot of bike racing photography and I'd love to get some photos of our cars in action.

Oregon wine country. Between Yamhill and Lane County, throughout the Willamette Valley, you'll find some of the best secondary driving roads in the world. hit me up if you want route suggestions. I know the roads well.

Grew up outside of Newberg Or. Hard to beat Hwy 219 over the mountain between Newberg and Scholls. A friend commutes that in a Z4

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
