How about creating a Comments tab to go along with the Overview and Questions tab?

Not being an 02 guru, I find the comments by many to be very educational.

But by far, the most important benefit of a comments tab would be be the smile I get when the poster is lacking information and Esty chimes in.

Larry, FWIW, i couldn't agree more....the loss of ability to interact with the for sale forums was a huge step backwards for the forum...

Overall great work on the new forum design. Only a few nits to pick:

1. I do not like the "expired" feature because I often glean information from old ads (sometimes many years old)--part numbers, descriptions, price points, and useful discussions. Now they are gone. Suggest it be disabled.

2. Two "expired ads" are currently at the top of the list as "featured". This really does not make sense. Clicking on them returns "not found" Disabling the expiration feature will cure this issue.

3. On another topic (yes, I know there is a thread on this), long signatures and slideshows in every post by a member are a serious waste of bandwidth and screen space. Copying of images when quoting text is a similar waste, and really stupid when 3 people do it in a row. I know enough to edit when I quote, but not everyone does. Can the system be configured to paste only text when quoting?

Best regards,

How about making a dropdown menu so we can go direct from a forum to the individual sections of the classifieds (parts, cars, wtb) instead of just to the classifieds section?

Also I like the bf.c feature where you can hover over the post topic and read a preview :D and where's the sunglasses smiley?

Cheers!

Oh I see the itemized dropdown menu is available at the "forums" heading, but not at the "market" heading at the right. I'll just remember to use the former ;-)

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
