Don't think so. I have 15 x 6 et 28 and they fit perfectly (my car is lowered 1 inch). It's not so much the 7" width of your wheels, but the et 12 that is a problem.

I always do it right the second time.

72tii. I dont want to touch the body if I dont have to. What size tires should i get 185 or 195?

Long answer - yes

Short answer - no

Lip the guards and do a pull and they'll fit the rear well with 195/45's but only a 1" drop will make them look average. Stick to a et25-28 and you'll be able to get a 15x7 on the front.

Heres a pic of mine with 15x7 et12 rear, and 15x6 et12 front (195/45's all round)

Thank you for the tip. My wheels are 15x7 e 12 for all 4. A ittle pulled fender wont hurt anyone right?

what would be a reasonable solution in your opinion?

Well, I'd much rather spend +/- $600 for a different set of wheels than mess with the body of my car. I am one whose strong preference to keep the body stock. I really like my Rota R20 alpina replicas:

See my post. They are 15 x 6, et 28. They are designed for a 2002. Similarly, the E30 basket weave alloys are a 14 x 6, et 29 I believe, and fit perfectly. They are a popular and lower cost wheel. I had a set:

I have Ireland stage 1 springs, which lowered it 1 inch. I'm running 195/50 x 15 tires (Yokohama S Drives). With the 14 inch wheels pictured here, I had 196/60 x 14 Dunlop Direzzas.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
