I got tired of my short shifter from auto solutions. No problems with the product in any way. I just hate miss shifts and wanted the shifter closer to the steering wheel as well. While I had the tranny out to swap in my close ratio tranny I found a longer NK shifter and welded on the lower half from the short shifter to keep a bit of a short shift but put the knob up high. I love the result. It doesn't bother me a single bit to have a longer throw and I like being absolutely sure of which gear I'm going into. But most importantly I like having it closer to the wheel.

I'd call this medium shift. The auto solutions was much shorter. This setup has the pivot raises and the lower part of the lever extended. I want to say that the lower part is about 55mm and the upper is about 200 which puts this shifter to about the same as a z3 2.8/3.0 unit- around 4:1. The lower linkage is in line with the selector shaft. Unfortunately I did not take any shots.....
