1975 02 vacuum hose

I am trying to figure out where a vacuum tube (I think that's what it is) connects to. It comes from the valve cover across the top of the engine to the drivers side just below the starter motor. The unattached end has markings like a hose clamp used to be on it but I can't find where it connects. Can anyone help with this?

Is there a good diagram somewhere that might show where the hoses are supposed to connect?

Thanks

Tom

Well there is only 1 hose that connects to the valve cover....

PCV hose... Usually connected to air cleaner, or as some do, just vents under the car....

If your car has the original air filter housing (round, metal, maybe 16" in diameter on a '75), the PCV hose hooks up to a suitably-sized nozzle on the underside of the housing. If your car does not have the original air filter housing, the replacement may or may not have a provision for the PCV hose.

I dont think this is the original cover. Would this hose not being attached to the air cleaner cover cause idling problems?

Thanks for your help. At least I can eliminate that from my possibilities.
