Need pic of factory front license plate holder

I have owned 2 02s and neither had the factory plate holder (front). Both had a newer dealer plate holder. I'd rather not advertise for a stealership I'm not associated with. Anyone have a factory holder for sale?

All the houses are offering a oem license plate holder, its the full size plate holder with long bolts to go through bumper, got mine at pelicanparts but know bavauto and others carry the 12 dollar part, its clean and wears BMW tags. I modified mine for the rear end but seems to be a bolt on for front

The plate has to be either all above or all below the bumper, and it looks odd. Better to make a license plate-sized panel out of aluminum and fasten that to the license plate holder at its midpoint, then bolt the license plate to the panel. That way the license plate is half above and half below the bumper and looks much better, IMHO.

U.S.-spec square taillight cars came with a satin black front license plate holder, even in states that do not require two plates. I have my original holder but don't wish to part with it. The big bumpers are pre-drilled for the holders and, as Mike suggested for the round taillight cars, the factory square taillight holders are centered on the bumper, vertically and horizontally.

Double check with Steve Blunt: OEM has been available up until recently, and I seem to recall they were under $20 bucks. If they are NLA, both NOS and used ones pop up on eBay regularly. I would think that the square taillight holder could even be easily adapted for round taillight bumpers.

Here's a bumper listed on eBay with the holder still in place, albeit bent and rusted:

I bought one from 2002AD a couple of months ago (OEM), and they're still listed on their site. I couldn't find one anywhere else.

I purchased mine from a BMW dealer, it's relatively inexpensive. Use the p/n listed at real oem to order. It looks exactly like the one in Bill's picture above.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
