Partly cause it´s fun, and partly to tune. Just a 32/36, but it can´t hurt. And I want every last little pony out of that Weber.

Any thoughts? Experiences?

(And no, I don´t want a digital one inside my 70´s car.=))

I'll be installing a wideband in my tii-swap for proper tuning as well, I am leaning towards the AEM analog setup. It can't hurt to know actual A/F under varied driving conditions. I saved a Talon Tsi motor by having one installed with a boost controller that went awry.

I find that my tach moves a lot too.

:-D

Cheers,

Just a thought: will that needle constantly moving drive you nuts? I have digital unit, and while it may not look "right", it's easy to read at a glance and really doesn't distract me. Also, +1 on AEM. I have one and I like it.

If it moves as much and as often as an a/f gauge, we need to go for a ride!

I think that the stepper motor can only move do fast, I am assuming it would actually smooth out the variations somewhat. I'm gonna call AEM right now.

Bonus on the AEM. The interchangeable face means you can make a custom skin to match any other brand gauge.

Plus, aem has a smartphone module to put it on your device.

Well, the Auto Meter is near my VDO oil pressure gauge. Near enough.

But smartphone module? An app?=) To read as charts, save and such?

Edit: Just checked with Summit. Yes, I can connect my iPhone - if I buy the 359 dollar kit. I think I´ll manage without it.

thinking of doing the same - where did you place the sensor - header down pipe or in the tailpipe just after it?

Jeff

Funny, I'm in the middle of this right now. I bought the AEM. It's all wired up but I'm waiting for my header to come back from the shop that's ceramic coating it. Here's my blog page with a bunch of photos for the install, including a shot of the header pipe.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
