How do you tell if your driveshaft is worn out?(nt)

Check the universals for play. A poorly balanced shaft can cause guibo problems, and if you're running a 5-speed then someone shortened the driveshaft at some point. If the alignment is good and you wear out guibos (you can tear them apart if you drive aggressively enough, especially if you have a hi performance motor), have the driveshaft balance checked, and replace the universals at the same time if they're worn out.

If the //M in your name means you have an S14 in your 2002, it's no wonder that you tear guibos up once a year. Even with a mild street motor, I can see signs of stress on an 8-bolt guibo after a few months of stopsign fun.
