Winter Storage Maintainence Prep Etc

I can't drive my 2002 in winter due to my Colorado location - snow galore, and the rear wheel drive/summer tires only dilema. I drive my '91 Saab 900 as my winter wheels.

My question is this, it will be parked outdoors for the duration of the season- I know It needs to be driven when possible but when not possible, I have a steep, slippery driveway that gets snowpacked, should I at least start her up and idle it up to a good temperature once in a while? How often? Or will this just tease her and get her pissed off?

And what about the brakes and the tires, and paint, should I prep them somehow for the cold and idle months?

Any suggestions would help greatly. Thanks
