Can't seem to find the torque setting for the Allen bolts that reconnect the CVs.

Anyone?

Just had the pleasure to re&re my halfshafts. They look great and can't wait to get them back in the car.

Cheers.

30 ...33 Nm = 22-24 lbs.ft. for the residents on this side of the pond.

Has anyone had a problem with the allen bolts backing out at 22-24 ft lbs?

I did and have torqued them to 30 ft lbs with no further issue...

Marc. I had the same issue when I first got my car. So I torqued to 30lbs a d also used blue loctite. If I remember correctly that is what Brad recommended to me

Thanks for the input. I too read the threads on CV bolts backing out. Partly the reason for the post.

I'm slowly learning to go to the areas of the FAQ for information

I torqued to 30ftlbs to be safe as well, but I will be checking under the car for awhile to be confident of my work. Better safe than sorry. :-)

Cheers.
