Proper and safe way of Jacking/bracing a 2002

I'll be the happy new owner of a beautiful Malaga 1972 2002 within a few weeks, so I'd like to try and get all my mechanical ducks in a row. I can swear l saw mention somewhere of a jig made from wood 4 x 4s or 6 x 6s strategically placed, which will be used along with jack stands. I googled this and had no luck finding it. Had no luck when looking through my Haynes and Chilton manuals, either. Can anyone supply me with an accurate reference as to where this article might be found? Or was it all just my imagination?

Thanks,

Bob Strong

Your description made me think of the Mike Macartney lift beam for the front subframe (page 60 of his book). I've been wanting to make one myself (but right now on my C list). IIRC this may have also been in the factory manual. Attached a pic.

Good evening

Please find this link that shows an alternative of the McCartney factory beam with a modern Arcan 3.5Ton jack.

Works great for me. Still support the front and rear with proper jacks while using this type of set up.

All the best and be safe jacking/bracing the 2002
